This is one of our favorite parts of being in business. As a company we use a lot of energy, and we get to choose where that energy comes from. Despite the abundance of hydroelectric plants in Oregon, only 10% of the power supplied to our region comes from hydro. We knew we could do better, so we started researching our options. We became proactive about supporting clean, renewable energy and conservation techniques. The results are in: the last year saw a 22% increase in manufacturing with a 7% decrease in imported energy.
With Global Warming an ever-more-present reality, the U.S. is still the top producer of Greenhouse Gases in the world.
